For all models (IC-706 - IC-706MKII - IC-706MKII/G):
- Cannot read or write memory names.
- Cannot read or write Sub-Tone values.
- Cannot read or write DUP values.
Only for IC-706 and IC-706MKII:
- Cannot read the S-Meter
- Cannot read the SQL
- Cannot read or write the Attenuator
- Cannot read or write the Preamplifier
- Cannot read or write the AGC
- Cannot read or write the NB
- Cannot read or write the Tone
- Cannot read or write the TSQL
- Cannot read or write the Vox
- Cannot read or write the BKin
- Cannot read or write the Compressor
- Cannot read or write the Reverse
These are hardware limitations of these transceivers and cannot be implemented in the management software.
IC706_BKT CAT Control is used to control the Icom IC-706, IC-706MKII, IC-706MKII/G and IC-718 transceivers from a personal computer. To do this, it uses the CI-V jack on the back of the Icom and a small interface that converts the signal to adapt it to the personal computer's serial port. The program runs on Windows 32 and 64-bit environments. The set of commands executable through the CI-V interface is quite limited; to overcome this limitation, in some cases the program will perform more than one operation in sequence.
Tested with various serial and USB interfaces.
