The communication protocol (CI-V) of transceivers ICOM IC-706 has some limitations hardware:

I'm connected to my IC7000 from my PC using the USB RIGTalk from Wester Radio
When I first bring up IC7000, the "Speed Communication Test in Progress" results in a good sync between the SW and the RTX
Any time I hit Synchronize after that, I get an error saying, "Serial port COM26 not working or communication error"
I have to go OFF LINE and then hit the Synchronize in order to have the SW and RTX synchronize
The BIG problem, is that I can't get the memory to synchronize. I load Bank A with what I want to download to my RTX. I hit synchronize pon the memory screen to load the new memory information to the RTX. I choose "Overwrite RTX" option. I click on "Start." At that point nothing happens. I have left it alone for a long time, but still nothing happens
It appears that once I'm synchronized, the connection is lost and I can never synchronize again without going off-line. In any event, I can never update the data bank on the IC7000
The reason I payed for your software and bought the RIGTalk was to be able to download what I want to the memory banks of the IC7000. I'm considering returning the RIGTalk and asking for a refund on the IC7000BKT donation I made. Right now, I'm very disappointed because I can't do the 1 thing that I want to be able to do.

I have un-installed previous versions of the IC-7000 software. I just installed latest version (ic7000bkt_Setup.exe). I try to load my registration file. The program CRASHES.

I have done this over and over, disabling virus protection, etc.

I am on Windows XP.

I really need this to work. Perhaps the key file is corrupt? Or something else?

Hi Mauro,
Since I upgraded the software to the latest version, I now transmit only in AM even in repeater mode. I have tried reloading the program etc. The radio by itself functions ok but if I try to transmit with the program the tx reverts to AM, no matter what mode I am receiving FM, LSB, USB, CW it transmits in AM only.

I'm trying to figure out how to create a solid list of memory channels without blanks.
I've added and removed memory entries and now want to create a list without blank spaces. Is this possible?
I've tried remapping but this hasn't worked. I still have 5 entries, 7 blank, 3 entries, 4 blank, 6 entries, etc.

Since upgrading to V1.11.0 I am getting the following message when starting IC7000BKT: "Error: access to boot.bkd was denied". I click ok and the program starts up. Also it loses connection with the radio quite often and requires closing the program and restarting.

I use a Yaesu VR-5000. The device does not respond to the control program. I have tried several settings without success. What can I do to?

I've registered the program but my station call is incorrect.
It displays "Radio Station W041" not KB1USQ as it should.
How can I change this?
