remote control

It has been a long time sinse I have used the remote control. I see many things have changed. How do it set up for this. I am going to use LAN for the linking. A lynksys RG45 with desktop as main computer running the radio. and a laptop with wireless card...I am at a total loss as what to do anymore.
Step by step instructions would be great.

Now I'm working on a version to use the RTX with a smartphone / tablet Android via LAN.
