BKT does not find USB-U-blox u7 stick [solved]

I am a new user and just installed this program.

I see mention of connecting to USB GPS receiver but I see no USB port showing in the program, only serial ports from 1 to 20.  How do I connect with a Garmin GPS?

Also I have a Motorola Oncore receiver connected to Serial Port 1, 9600, 8,1,N.  This works fine with Lady Heather software but this program does not connect.

To operate the GPS receiver must have USB/SERIAL compatible drivers.
